Frühlingsfest!
Frühlingsfest is back!
Year two of our springtime festival starts Thursday, April 17 and runs through May 10.
Think of it as Oktoberfest’s springtime cousin: great lagers, stein-holding contests every weekend, German-inspired food from @biersal_kitchen, and a bar that feels extra festive with spring decor by Native Poppy.
Weekend 1 (4/17 - 4/19): Paulaner
Weekend 2 (4/24 - 4/26): Hacker pschorr
Weekend 3 (5/01 - 5/03): Enegren
Weekend 4: (5/08 - 5/10): Pizza Port
A few weeks of springtime beer drinking, good company, and plenty of reasons to raise a glass to the season.
Lederhosen and dirndls encouraged.
Come early. Stay late. Prost!

Schwendl Brewery Spotlight
SCHWENDL AT BOCK
On Thursday, May 14, we’re highlighting Schwendl, a family-owned Bavarian brewery from the Chiemgau region, tucked near the foothills of the Alps close to the Austrian border.
Schwendl is the kind of brewery that reminds us why we love German beer: clean lagers, regional tradition, and the quiet confidence that comes from doing the simple things really well.
Come spend the evening with us and raise a glass to Bavaria.
Pouring at 5pm.
Ayinger Keep The Glass
Join us Thursday, May 21 for a keep the glass night with one of Bavaria’s great breweries.

Frühlingsfest rolls on with Enegren in the house, a California brewery with a real love for German beer tradition.
Their crew will be here and we’re tapping a Stichfaß of Enegren Maibock at 5pm, followed by steinholding at 6pm.
Come raise one with us.
Quarterly Bottle Share
Our Quarterly Bottle Share Returns
Monday, April 27 starting around 5 PM
Bring a bottle you’ve been meaning to open and join in for a night of shared pours, good conversation and a few beers worth slowing down for.
Some things are better opened together.
Reinheitsgebot Day
Long before craft beer, there was the Reinheitsgebot.
On April 23, 1516, Bavaria adopted the Reinheitsgebot, the German Beer Purity Law, one of the foundations of German beer culture. The original law limited beer to water, barley, and hops, helping set a standard for quality and consistency in brewing.
This Thursday, we’re celebrating the 510th anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot the right way: all-day happy hour on all German beer on draft.
That means $2 off half liters and $4 off liters.
Come raise one with us.
Köstritzer Keep The Stein
Thursday, April 9 starting at 5pm.
We’ll be pouring Köstritzer Schwarzbier, one of Germany’s classic dark lagers and one of the benchmark examples of the style.
Brewed in Bad Köstritz, Germany, with roots going back to 1543, Köstritzer has been doing schwarzbier for a very long time, and doing it right. If you’ve never had one, don’t let the color fool you. Schwarzbier drinks lighter than it looks: crisp, smooth, lightly roasty, with notes of toasted bread, cocoa, and a dry, clean finish that keeps it easy to come back to.
We’ll have limited Köstritzer steins on hand for the occasion, available one per person while supplies last.
Come by, have a proper dark lager, and spend a little Thursday evening with us.
Faß Friday
Every first Friday we tap a unique Stichfaß (German gravity cask) at 5pm.
This month we’ll be pouring Burlingame Dark Czech Lager from North Park Beer Co! Just $6 while the cask lasts!

We’re turning the taps toward Private Landbrauerei Schönram, a quiet Bavarian powerhouse known for some of the cleanest, most dialed lagers in Germany. Family-run since 1780 in the village of Schönram, this brewery has built a cult following by doing the classic things exceptionally well.
Expect beautifully balanced helles, crisp pils, and traditional Bavarian specialties that showcase why precision and patience still matter.
If you love elegant, old-world lager, this is your night.
St. Patrick's Day at Bock
Pull up a stool and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us. We’ll be pouring plenty of Guinness, playing some Irish music, and Biersal will have a few Irish-inspired specials coming out of the kitchen for the day.

Bottle Share
Nothing beats a good ol’ bottle share. Friends gathered around a table, each pulling something special from the cellar, eager to pour and taste what everyone else brought. It’s simple, generous, and full of discovery, the heart of what made beer culture so fun, and we don’t do it enough anymore.
We want to bring that spirit back more regularly, so we’re starting up a quarterly bottle shares at Bock.
Dig deep into your stash (you know it’s time), bring a bottle or two to share, and let’s open some memories together.

Keep the Stein: Weihenstephaner
Founded in 1040, Weihenstephaner is widely regarded as the oldest continuously operating brewery in the world. What began as a Benedictine monastery brewery in Bavaria has become one of Germany’s most respected producers of classic styles including classic Hefeweissbier, Dunkel, Festbier, and beyond. Nearly a thousand years later, they’re still brewing with the same focus on purity, balance, and tradition that made them legendary.
Perfect beer for the day after Thanksgiving: rich history, easy drinking, and a stein worth taking home.

Bottle Share
Back in the golden days of craft beer, nothing beat a good old bottle share. Friends gathered around a table, each pulling something special from the cellar, eager to pour and taste what everyone else had been saving. It was simple, generous, and full of discovery, the heart of what made beer culture so fun. We’re bringing that spirit back for SD Beer Week. Dig deep into your stash (you know it’s time), bring a bottle or two to share, and let’s open some memories together.
