We’ll be pouring Köstritzer Schwarzbier, one of Germany’s classic dark lagers and one of the benchmark examples of the style.
Brewed in Bad Köstritz, Germany, with roots going back to 1543, Köstritzer has been doing schwarzbier for a very long time, and doing it right. If you’ve never had one, don’t let the color fool you. Schwarzbier drinks lighter than it looks: crisp, smooth, lightly roasty, with notes of toasted bread, cocoa, and a dry, clean finish that keeps it easy to come back to.
We’ll have limited Köstritzer steins on hand for the occasion, available one per person while supplies last.
Come by, have a proper dark lager, and spend a little Thursday evening with us.
