We’re keeping San Diego Beer Week rolling with a Brewery Spotlight on the legendary Alvarado Street Brewery!

Join us Thursday, November 13th starting at 5pm as we feature a lineup from one of California’s most consistently impressive breweries. Founded in 2014 in Monterey by J.C. Hill and his family, Alvarado Street has earned national recognition for its expressive hop-forward beers, crisp lagers, and boundary-pushing barrel-aged releases.

Come enjoy some of their best and celebrate Beer Week with us at Bock.

Draught Lineup:

NOBLE SUBSTANCE

Dortmunder Style Lager | ABV: 5.9%

A tribute to the legendary Augustiner Edelstoff export lagerbier of Munich. Essentially a stronger form of Helles with a distinctly floral Noble-hop forward aroma & hop flavor with a soft malt presence and a refined, crisp bitterness to balance it out.

PILS

German-Style Pilsner | ABV: 5.2%

German-style Pilsner brewed with floor malted German Pilsner malt, Tettnang & Mittelfruh whole cone hops, and fermented with legendary Augustiner yeast. Spunded & horizontally lagered for six weeks. Elegant presentation, gorgeous Noble-hop aromatics, and finishes crisp with an assertive, yet refined bitterness.

RAUCHBIER

Smoked Red Lager | ABV: 5.8%

A rustic, smoked amber lager inspired by the beers of Bamberg, Germany.

BREWING IN STEREO

Belgian Mild | ABV: 4.4%

A hybrid style combining the malt composition of an English mild with fruity & floral notes derived from Belgian abbey yeast. A touch of graham cracker and light roast combines with esters of honeycomb, stone fruit and a hint of peppery spice.

WESTFALL

Belgian Pale | ABV: 6.5%

Inspired by a trip to Belgium’s famous Trappist Brewery, Westmalle, this is a shimmering golden ale with perfumey, floral notes and fruity flavors derived from fermentation. It’s light, snappy and has a ton of character for a dry, pale beer.

GOOD AMBER

Amber Ale | ABV: 5.4%

There’s a certain kind of beer people ask for — no gimmicks, no haze, no pastry. Just a damn good amber. The kind your dad might’ve had after raking the leaves or before kickoff. Built on Maris Otter and Munich malts for a toasty, bready base and a touch of caramel sweetness, this one’s built for sweater weather and second halves. Balanced, smooth, and quietly satisfying, it’s got notes of nougat, apple peel, and a hint of citrus that keep it familiar yet fresh. Because sometimes, when the air turns crisp, you just need a Good Amber.

NELS INN

WC IPA | ABV: 7.2%

For those looking to leave the bright lights and tireless noise of Hazy IPA behind, there is a place just off Interstate 8 where many a weary traveler has found a place to rest up and settle in. This West Coast IPA is inspired by that place, brewed with a little rye, and mountains of Nelson Sauvin and Southern Cross hops from our friends at Freestyle Hops in New Zealand. A lean body and a balanced bitterness lay out the welcome mat for some serious Sauv Blanc and spicy diesel vibes before opening the door to pink grapefruit, navel orange, apricot and a little pine. Once you check in, you’ll be in no hurry to check out. Yeah, nah...stay a while.

RADIO SONG

WC DIPA | ABV: 8.2%

Roll down the windows and turn up the volume, its road trip time. Brewed for SDBW: Radio Song is that hit you want to keep on cranking. We’re talking Nelson on lead vocals, Krush Cryo and Simcoe Cryo laying down the rhythm, and Dolcita on backup harmonies. The setlist? White grape, diesel funk, citrus zest, and a little tropical sweetness for the encore. We're not holding back on this one so hold on tight and get ready to play it on repeat.

NEUEWAVE VOL III

Hazy DIPA | ABV: 8.5%

A neue chapter in our journey - small-batch hoppy ale reimagined and built without compromise. A heavily scrutinized, untethered approach that strives for parity between outlandish hopping rates and soft, smooth edges.
